Every so often, when the looming threat of a Socialist take over of my life depresses me, I think back to the happy times of two years ago when the Code Pink idiots and the Moveon gang ran around burning American flags while chanting "Dissent is American." Ah ,the good ol' days. Back then, I could look at these morons, chuckle at them and proceed with my day.
It's kind of hard to do that these days since the lunatics are now running the asylum.
These days, dissent in any way, shape or form, you're not only Un-American, you're also a racist pig. If you don't believe me, check out Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi's op-ed in USA Today. Or, give Howard Dean a downer and he'll stop screaming and shrieking long enough to tell you if you oppose Obamacare you'll be "undermining the President." (Apparently, Harry Reid's awe inspiring statement of "The surge has failed, the war is lost." while brave Americans are fighting and dying in Iraq makes him Paul Revere.)
Now, I can handle these simpletons. If you added up all of their IQ's you'd get a shoe size. Not only that, if they keep up their antics they'll be gone in 2010, anyway.
What about the ones I can't vote out ? What about that mysterious fourth branch of the Federal Government ? The Czars ? You want Un-American and racist ? Check this out.
"Conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia." Is that off of Joseph Mengele's Greatest Hits ? Is that quote from Mein Kampf ? Was it penned by Alfred Rosenberg, Nazi "philospher" ? Nope! That was written by Ezekiel Emmanuel, Rahm's creepy brother and one of Obama's special advisors. Is refusing medical care to someone with dementia or severe retardation American ?
Now, the Leftists would call that "taking something out of context." So let's try another.
"In what sense is the money in our pockets and bank accounts fully ours ? Did we earn it by our own autonomous efforts ? Could we have inherited it without the assistance of probate courts ? Do we save it without the assistance of bank regulators ? Could we spend it if there were no public officials to coordinate the efforts and pool the resources of the community in which we live ?" Must be Karl Marx. No ? Wait! Stalin ? Castro ? Chavez ? Nope! That would be Cass Sunstein, head of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. While we're on the subject, Cass you owe me 50 bucks. Since your income is also my income, you need to send me a money order for 50 bucks. No personal checks. There's no way I'm accepting a personal check from a guy who wants animals to be defended in court by lawyers. I guess that's American, eh ? You know, forgetting that old rugged individualism nonsense and working for the "collective". That just puts the apple in my pie.
Before you report me to Homeland Security as an "extremist", let me refer you to the second highest ranking Communist in the government today. (I'll give you a big ol' block of government cheese of you can figure out who is the highest ranking Communist. I'll give you a hint. Read the title of my blog.) Ladies and gentlemen! Let's give a warm Chairman Mao welcome to....VAN JONES, GREEN JOBS CZAR...ER...SPECIAL ADVISOR!
When Comrade Jones isn't masquerading as a quack scientist, he's righting the wrongs of the white folks with fabulous ideas like Books not Bars. (We can all see how that's solved that Bloods and Crips thing.) I must say, his marriage of enviro-nazism and social "justice" sends tingly feelings up and down my leg. (Or is that diabetic neuropathy? Under the impending health care plan, I'll have the answer in give or take a year.) Nothing is more inspiring than the fact that Comrade Jones is also a founding member of the Apollo Alliance, a shadowy board of eco-illuminati that saves Congress the hassle of writing bills. (Man, that Stimulus package just took off ! I can almost buy a newspaper with my dividend checks form UBS! Way to go, Apollo!)
I think Comrade Jones' greatest accomplishment is colorofchange.org, which is helping to "change the color of democracy." Thankfully, colorofchange is there to stop Glenn Beck and his race baiting. That whole thing about silencing the opposition is so American it would make John Wayne cry. The racial healing parts of the site are a joy to behold as well. Those heart warming stories of white vigilantes roaming around in Katrina devastated New Orleans brought a tear to my eye. Having the rapper Nas deliever a petition about racist Fox News was like reliving the Martin Luther King days all over again. Who could forget the heart felt fondess of colorofchange's "Dancing with the devil" campaign that called on the Congressional Black Caucus to boycott Fox News because of Fox's "clearly hostile stance towards Black political interests" ? (All this despite having Juan Williams on 20 out of a possible 24 hours a day.) All kidding aside, no one with a fuctioning brain could not possibly see the ugly racism of this.
In closing, never throw rocks when you live in a glass, eco-friendly politburo.
